Williamson County offices have switched phone systems. The new system was installed this past November. The new phone system is expected to alleviate many of the problems callers faced when dialing into the old system.

The Williamson County Board has taken responsibility of the telephone system from the Public Building Commission. The board decided to request bids for a new telephone system. Frontier Communications was awarded the bid with an $81,139 request. A new phone system was installed and ready for use in late November, said board Commissioner Brent Gentry.
“Over the years we have had many, many complaints about our phone system from county residents and employees. It seemed everyday there was some type of issue. This new phone system is the way of the future and should last may years. The technology is so much greater than what we have been used to,” Gentry said. Continue reading…
