The City Council for Centerville, Georgia has voted to install a new phone system. Funding has been approved to cover half of the cost of the project. The new phone system will connect City Hall with the fire department and eventually with the law enforcement department.

City Council approved spending $16,789 Tuesday toward a new $33,904 phone system.
City administrator Patrick Eidson said the new system will link current City Hall offices and the city’s fire department as well as eventually link the city’s new law enforcement center and municipal court facility which are now under construction.
At present, the systems are separate.
Eidson said the new system, provided by Total Computer Solutions, will allow each facility its own system but will integrate the entire phone system into one allowing for calls to be transferred seamlessly among all departments and locations. Continue reading…
